Keiko Okawa has been involved in technology development in Japan and the US IT industry for about 12 years. After working at the United Nations University, she received her doctorate in higher education and ICT research from Keio University in 2001. She has led an inter-university educational cooperation project throughout Asia centered on ICT for over 20 years. Her current research has expanded to global education, promoting practical learning activities for a wide range of age groups, from preschool children to all members of society. She has been serving as a director of online course development at Keio University since 2015. For her significant contribution to online education at Keio University, she received the Keio-Gijuku Award in 2023.

Albertus Sunliang Wang

Program Director of the Master of Science in Architecture Studies – Sustainable Design

University of Florida, USA

Albertus earned his Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida in 1990 and his Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 1995. He currently serves as the Program Director for the University of Florida’s Master of Science in Architecture Studies – Sustainable Design program. In addition, he teaches graduate design studios and seminars at UF’s Graduate School of Architecture – CityLab. Albertus has supervised both doctoral and master’s students throughout his academic career.

Over the past twenty-two years, Albertus has worked on a diverse array of built projects in the U.S. and internationally. His designs have garnered international recognition, including AIA awards, and have been featured in prominent design magazines and publications. Notable mentions include a critique by Dr. Hui Zou on his article “Translation, Communication and Crossed-Cultural Poetic Architecture” (New Architecture, Issue 127, June 2009, China); an article in Amir Sidharta’s book, 25 Tropical Houses (“t-house,” p. 202, Periplus Publishers, 2008, Singapore); and his keynote presentation on adaptive reuse, “(In) Between Old and New: Resurrect, Revise, Reuse of Old Buildings,” delivered at the 2017 New Architecture Forum at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, later published in New Architecture, Issue 183, February 2019.

His most recent papers, “The Navel of the Earth vs. the Imagination of Human Desire: Adapt-and-Reuse—Intervention, Insertion or Installation” (co-authored with Kalliope Kontozologu) and “Twice-Told Tales: About Love Toward Immortality” (co-authored with Sujin Kim), were presented and published at the 4th and 6th International Conferences of Contemporary Affairs in Architecture and Urbanism in Alanya, Türkiye

Harveen Kaur

Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore

Harveen Kaur is the Module Coordinator for Learning Express (LeX) and is part of the Sustainable Innovation team. She oversees the teaching and learning of Design Thinking and Sustainable Innovation in the ASEAN, China and India (ACI) region.

Her motivation stems from witnessing the transformation in students from Singapore Polytechnic. She firmly believes that programs such as LeX, which cultivate empathy, play a crucial role in fostering deep connections among youths in the ACI region. These connections, in turn, pave the way for future collaborations, enabling them to perceive challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles.

Harveen holds a Bachelors in Social Science, with a double major in Psychology and Corporate Communications from Singapore Management University. Furthering her expertise in teaching, she pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed), specializing in Curriculum and Teaching from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Frank Lee

Singapore Polytechnic International, Singapore

Frank Lee is the Senior Manager responsible for business development in Singapore Polytechnic International (SPI). 
Frank received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a Diploma specialising in Art & Design education in 2001 and has served in different roles in the Education sector since. He was previously the Learning Express (LeX) Programme Coordinator in Singapore Polytechnic (SP) before moving over to a corporate position in SPI.Frank is a passionate teacher and has been awarded the Excellence in Teaching and SP’s Educator Award during his service in SP.

His current role in SPI is an extension of his interest as an educator, as it offers him a wider platform to connect with the international community and continue the work of empowering individuals and the larger society through education.

Prof. Christina Eviutami Mediastika, S.T., Ph.D.

Universitas Ciputra, Indonesia

Prof. Christina Eviutami mediastika, S.T., Ph.D. was educated, trained, and graduated as an architect at the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta. She then specialized in Architecture in Building Science, having a Ph.D from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. Prof. Christina then build her distinguished academic career teaching in various architecture department at several renowned university in Indonesia, publishing in Q1 Scopus indexed Architecture Journals, serves as editorial board and reviewer in several National and International indexed Architecture Journals, and becoming keynote speakers in International and National Architecture Conference. She also actively wrote and published popular articles and books to share her knowledge to broad audiences. Prof. Christina is currently a Fullbright Visiting Scholar, and a Professor of Architecture at Architecture Department, Faculty of Creative Industries, Universitas Ciputra, Surabaya.

Dr. Deny Tri Ardianto, S.Sn., Dipl.Art

Universitas Sebelas Maret, Indonesia

Dr. Deny Tri Ardianto, S.Sn., Dipl. Art. was educated, trained, and graduated as a visual communication designer at the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta. He then pursued his passion in Film and Video Art getting his Master from Hochschule Bildende Kuenste (HBK), Braunschweig, Germany, and later Ph.D in Film at the Institute Seni Indonesia (ISI), Yogyakarta. Dr. Denny and his team produced many documentary style movies introducing Surakarta traditional art and its modern interpretation aimed at introducing and elevating Surakarta exciting local culture scenes. The movies entered International Film Festival such as FilmForum HBK Braunschweig 2019, Portland Dance Film Festival 2020, © Screen Dance Film Festival, Barcelona, Spain 2020, etc, and garnered international awards. As an academic, Dr. Denny is currently Vice Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, UNS and teaching in the Visual Communication Design Department, Faculty of Art and Design, UNS.
